Summary	0003274: collapse tree button should preserve selection
Description	When clicking the “collapse tree” button... this collapses the tree which is good.. so you can see the other nodes clearly... but it also selects the library node which is completely pointless because that node doesn't show anything... I think the library node is going to show files in the next build (not sure) but I think this can still be improved; Instead of selecting the library node, the action should be to JUST collapse the tree but not change the selection (and therefore, no change what's shown in the trackilst view - like if you collapsed it manually) – that way, you can collapse the tree to find another node you couldn't previously see (like a playlist) and then drag a file that is still showing in the trackilst to the new node you've now made visible.

jiri 2007-09-06 09:32 administrator ~0010525	I think that it actually worked this way in previous versions but was changed since, because it contains some possible problems. Also Explorer works this way and so I guess it's better to leave it as is, particularly for 3.0 release.

Another thing is that now, when we have that Vista-like navigation toolbar, it would be strange to be in some node according to this toolbar, but in another according to the tree. And, as I already mentioned, Explorer also works this way...
