Summary | 0003973: <Esc> from Full Screen Visualization display --> display freeze
Description | As described at: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19675 If the user tries to <Esc> from milkdrop when it is in full-screen mode --> MM freezes. (note: I've seen this occur with Geiss in the past on occasion as well).

More info: -MM 2.5 doesn't seem to exhibit this bug. -After running MM 2.5 and then running MM 3.0 the problem seems to go away (this occurred once, it didn't occur after I'd deleted the MM 2.5 ini settings--it may have been a fluke occurence). -Debug log of the problem is posted to the ftp server |

Further testing should that the problem occurs when MM Visualization is run for the first time as fullscreen mode, because the firewall's 'allow vishelper keyboard access popup' doesn't appear on top of the visualization. If MM Visualization has been run previously, AND keyboard access has occurred in the vis dialog, then the firewall popup occurs normally, the user sets the firewall rule, and subsequent full-screen visualization works perfectly. Possible solution would be for the firewall to 'think' that vishelper is an MM process (i.e. not a separate app). Pushing to 'urgent' since this is a very rare occurence and has a workaround (I'll document it in the faq). |

Note that the workaround doesn't work for all users (as described in the forum). |
