Summary | 0004112: Album Art Tagging: No error is returned when attempting to tag album art to track with broken link
Description | If a track has broken links and the user tries to modify the Album Art by saving to tag, no error is returned to the user. This is confusing since the Album Art doesn't get tagged and the user has to figure out the fact that the tracks are missing is what's causing this.

It is fixed. I added warning: "The track [path] is inaccessible, you will not be able to add album art to its tag." [Ok] Please fix/review the wording. Added in build 1190. |

I would suggest changing the wording: The track [path] is inaccessible, you will not be able to add album art to its tag. To --> Tag update failed (the track could not be accessed). |
|
Rusty, please test this out before changing the wording. The text appear prior to updating the tag therefore the wording suggested by you doesn't make sense. |

I see. The warning appears right after the user clicks the auto-tag button and limits the album art update to a link update. There's a problem with the implementation, though--it's designed for only a single track, but often applies to multiple tracks! Also, the warning should not appear if album art is configured to be saved to the folder (in that case, the warning is pointless). With the above in mind, I would suggest wording along the lines of: One or more of the selected tracks are inaccessible and cannot be tagged. Save album art to the folder instead. |

Thank you. Fixed in 1199. |
