Summary | 0004123: Database isn't cleaned properly of unused attributes
Description | If the user deletes all entries of an Artist or Album Artist by using Auto-tag from Amazon to rename Artist/Album Artist attributes (e.g. Changing Elvis --> Elvis Presley) then MM will remove Elvis from the tree, but will retain Elvis in the list of Artists/Album Artists in the Properties comboboxes. There's no way for the user to clean this up. This doesn't occur when the user manually renames an Artist. Note: I didn't test with Album or other fields.

That's strange, I can't reproduce. Here's what I tried: I scanned a single track to an empty library (let's say artist 'A'), changed artist to 'B' using Auto-tag from Amazon and after this change Properties dialog correctly showed only artist 'B', not 'A'. In case of problem, please send me a DB, so that I could review what should be removed. Isn't there any interference with Album Artists? |

I've posted a video clarifying this to the ftp server. |
