Summary | 0004414: songs with ; (semicolon) in their titles cause a burn to fail.
Description | If you burn a data dvd and one of the songs has a ";" symbol in the TITLE.. when it tries to burn that song, it stops, ejects the cd, and then puts it back in and tries to verify.. eventually telling you you made a coaster. This happened twice on the same song until I renamed the title - after which it worked.. I did not test it again (I'm outta dvd's)

Yes, for some reason the semicolon causes the filename to be cut off, e.g. file 'Green Day;.mp3' is finally burnt as 'Green Day' which causes verification to fail. I fixed it by eliminating semicolons from the filename/path. Fixed in build 1141. |

Reopened because this is evidently Primo's issue, they should know/be contacted about this. i.e. By using their sample app the problem is easily reproducable. if you burn file "aaa;bbb.mp3" then the file is burnt as "aaa" only (the part next to the semicolon is cut off) Assigning to Rusty in order to contact them via email about this issue, then this issue can be re-marked as resolved until they fix it. |

Reduced to urgent since Ludek's hack makes this less critical. |
|
Primo has indicated that this will be fixed in their next release. |
|
Re-assigning to Ludek since this should be resolved in the latest SDK. |
|
I tested newly included PrimoBurner version 2.5 and the bug still exists! i.e. If you burn file "aaa;bbb.mp3" then the file is burnt as "aaa" only. So we should leave our hack: eliminating semicolons from the filename/path. |

This is no longer an issue as of MM 4.1. |

Closing, I have burned DVD with ';' in title without an issue yesterday Using 1623 |
