Summary | 0004901: Copy iPhone / iPod Touch: using auto-organize doesn't work
Description | For copying the iPhone, we've documented two workarounds at: http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=3 3a) Move the tracks from the iPod/iPhone using the Auto-Organize tool 3b) Copy the tracks from the iPod by 'Syncing' them to a (virtual) device. 3b) works with 3.0.6.1189, but 3a) doesn't--it actually doesn't update the iPod database correctly. Consequently, we've agreed to a hack that for the iPod Touch/iPhone, MM will simply _COPY_ tracks when using auto-organize for build 3.0.6.1190 and add the tracks to the db. This temporary hack will be undone when 0004900 is properly resolved.
Additional Information | One other issue fixed here is the fact that 'Copy' is greyed out for the iPhone / iPod Touch context menu.

Jiri: Verified 0004900 and it works perfectly. I doubt that anything needs to be changed here--can you confirm? |
|
Yes, it should be all ok now. |
|
Verified 1190, this "hack" works as described. |
