Summary | 0005193: Change the post-install initial Add/Rescan to offer "My Music" folder, rather than C:\
Description | As suggested at: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=35978 This would prevent novice users from adding sound effects and other junk into the MM library on the initial run.

Sounds like a good idea, assigning to Rusty for a review. |

Thinking about this some more I thought of a potential problem with this. The WMP database is stored in the %APPDATA% folder similar to MM. If the only item selected by default is the user's 'My Music' folder, it could potentially miss importing info from WMP11 (and Winamp, though I'm not sure where it stores its DB file). Perhaps selecting the whole user folder could be a better alternative? (Note: iTunes importation would not be affected since its DB is stored in user's 'My Music/iTunes/' folder.) |

Information from WMP or Winamp is always imported, it doesn't matter which folder is scanned. |
