Summary | 0006076: WMA tag write failure
Description | 1 Make a fresh default installation of Win XP SP2 and MM and launch MM 2 At Add/Rescan folders click OK. 3 Browse to track title.wma titled Windows welcome music and change title to XXX 4 Click Unsynchronized Tags Expected: no tracks. Observed: title.wma, with Title highlighted in yellow, still showing Windows welcome music MM has failed to write the updated tag to the file. Mp3tag corroborates. Mp3tag writes the same tag edit fine. EDIT: Above is on Win XP Home SP2. Same results on MM 1209 on Win XP Pro SP2. EDIT: WMA Tracks can't Burn, Play, Tag, Convert, Sync or be Analysed http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=92&nav=0,5 does not apply this is not a case of "Missing or faulty Windows Media Components". Workaround: install Windows Media Format 11. Reported at http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=36059 .
