Summary0008173: Scripting Engine not initialized.
DescriptionSome users report that they can't use any scripts within MM and that KB http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=116 do not fix the problem.

VBScript is correctly installed on System and Executing .VBS work but http://www.happymonkeying.com/forum/Test_VBscript.exe like MM do not work as most likely internal Script Engine do not work like MMs.
On the other hand http://www.happymonkeying.com/forum/Test_VBscript.vbs works (Start from cmd is Needed to see all output) along with its GUI Version http://www.happymonkeying.com/forum/Test_VBscriptGUI.vbs

Last few days I had several hours in Remote sessions trying various fixes without success. What do you think we can do? Any debug Msgs to add on Scripting engine Init?

I talked to user again and asked him to follow manual steps described in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949140/en-us#FixItForMe so we will see.

Issue is with users Regsvr32 that didn't wanted to any additional COM libraries, I'm guessing corruption or virus.

The workaround was to use regedit and import all registry entries I had on My PC related to MediaMonkey. I exported them from My PC to REG file.

Another user reported that last workaround didn't fixed problem, but he found that his issue is caused by MS KB update described here http://blogs.technet.com/b/instan/archive/2010/07/20/can-t-find-script-engine-quot-vbscript-quot-for-script-after-installing-ms10-020.aspx , http://support.microsoft.com/kb/944338/en-us , http://support.microsoft.com/kb/981169/en-us and http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;981332

Maybe http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=116 should be updated to include that workarounds.

EDIT: In case user have Kaspersky AV making Simple fixVBScrip.reg registry and import it into windows fixes issue with VBScrip errors.

Removed 4.0 target as it is not MM issue.
