| Description | Some users report that they can't use any scripts within MM and that KB http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=116 do not fix the problem. VBScript is correctly installed on System and Executing .VBS work but http://www.happymonkeying.com/forum/Test_VBscript.exe like MM do not work as most likely internal Script Engine do not work like MMs. On the other hand http://www.happymonkeying.com/forum/Test_VBscript.vbs works (Start from cmd is Needed to see all output) along with its GUI Version http://www.happymonkeying.com/forum/Test_VBscriptGUI.vbs | ||||

Last few days I had several hours in Remote sessions trying various fixes without success. What do you think we can do? Any debug Msgs to add on Scripting engine Init? |

I talked to user again and asked him to follow manual steps described in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949140/en-us#FixItForMe so we will see. |

Issue is with users Regsvr32 that didn't wanted to any additional COM libraries, I'm guessing corruption or virus. The workaround was to use regedit and import all registry entries I had on My PC related to MediaMonkey. I exported them from My PC to REG file. |

Another user reported that last workaround didn't fixed problem, but he found that his issue is caused by MS KB update described here http://blogs.technet.com/b/instan/archive/2010/07/20/can-t-find-script-engine-quot-vbscript-quot-for-script-after-installing-ms10-020.aspx , http://support.microsoft.com/kb/944338/en-us , http://support.microsoft.com/kb/981169/en-us and http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;981332 Maybe http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=116 should be updated to include that workarounds.
