The second log (MSC mode) just shows that the content is browsable, but not that any sync attempt was actually made. Will contact the user about that.

But in the meantime, it still seems that MTP functionality is broken...

MSC ("drive mode") G: is solved: http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/staff/index.php?_m=tickets&_a=viewticket&ticketid=13153&offset=20

MTP ("sync mode") is broken. Both MM and Windows explorer see it as drive with letter L:, but the drive cannot be accessed. Waiting for log...

I've done extensive tests With a friend on his netbook using HTC EVO 3D with 8GB MicroSD and MM 1441 in his office of local Mobile Operator.

There was no issues at all. In MTP Mode there was no Drive letter assigned but was accessible in Win Explorer.

To be sure, you wrote no issues and that it worked in explorer, but did it sync correctly using MM? Does it work in both MTP and MSC modes?

Any ideas why it's not working for the user (see videos/logs above + ticket)?

Yes it worked correctly with MM sync, like I said no issues.
Phone was on Factory Settings (Default settings that Operator uses).
I tested three different sync methods for each type (MTP, MSC):
1. Sync 1GB -> Sync another 6GB -> Sync to Device Capacity with exception of 10% that is reserved.
2. Delete all music on sync -> Sync to Device Capacity with exception of 10% that is reserved.
3. Manual Sync to Device Capacity with exception of 10% that is reserved.

I'm not sure if it is related to users EVO but once I had a friend that bought HTC Mini which was in some sort of Debug Mode that made almost unusable eg. it shows but no access and when you gain access than no free space is shown in MSC.
If I recall it correctly It showed additional Icon in top left corner of Display (right of network strength meter).

Peke, so did you try also syncing in the "Sync mode" (see here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/staff/index.php?_m=tickets&_a=viewticket&ticketid=13153&offset=20 ) without a problem?

I thing that the difference is that user has installed the "HTCSync" app on his PC that can sync Contacts, Calendars and music from WMP from PC->Phone, but cannot sync music from MM (as expected). I guess you haven't installed the "HTC Sync" app?

According to the video and the log provided by user, the device is connected in MSC mode as drive letter L:, however this drive can't be accessed at all (either by MM or by Explorer). So, there's something wrong (be it the particular user's PC only, or some installed drivers) and I don't see what could we do about it.

Setting target to 4.1 - we can either resolve as not fixable, or try to find out some work-around, but hardly anything for MM 4.0.

Few More tests are done on one HTC Mini I obrtained for testing.

Setting Phone to Debug Mode only HTC app could access the phone even it shows in MM and WMP, Win Explorer (Drive letter). As soon as Input it into normal mode all apps started to work correctly.
