Summary | 0008609: Video Playback: causes windows to disable Aero when another app is run as 'Admin'
Description | Steps: 1. Play a video. 2. Run Notepad as administrator 3. Accept the UAC prompt. 4. Aero disabled by MediaMonkeyVHelper.exe 5. Stop video and Aero is back. Note: this doesn't occur if MM is running while a video isn't playing.

Some additional facts from testing and debugging: 1) UAC prompt disables Aero if "secure desktop" is enabled for this dialog. The problem is that after closing this dialog Aero is not restored in case video is playing. 2) it is not related only to MM. I've reproduced this behaviour also while playing video in GraphEdit. 3) but, in GraphEdit it is related only some videos (in MM probably all videos). I have 2 XVid files, played by the same DS filters, one causes this problem in GraphEdit, one not. I did not find any difference, why this is happening. 4) this is not happening, if video is paused |

Resolving, I am unable to reproduce it with the current version of MM4.1 and MM4.0.4. It is most probably fixed by using our new renderer (issue 0007187). |
