It could make sense to use 'link' in some cases, but there are also arguments for not doing so:
a) Addition of files to the library: It's true that the files aren't copied, but on the other hand, the '+' sign implies 'addition' and the terminology throughout the product is 'addition/scanning' of files to the library (e.g. add/scan files--the term 'linking' files to the library isn't used. So a simpler fix would be to change the 'copy' label that appears for this scenario to 'add' (i.e. 'Copy' should only used for operations in which a file copy actually occurs).
 
b) Addition of files to Now Playing / Playlist: These types of operations also involve 'linking', but again terminology in MM is 'Send to Now Playing' or Copy/Paste to a playlist. In light of this, we can probably use 'add' for these scenarios as well.
