| Description | Users can create Auto-Playlists and Collections that feature a random sub-set of the Library that changes each time it is requested. This allows the user to sync a random subset of files on each Auto-Sync. Users may also require frequent (daily) Auto-Syncs to update the device with new Podcasts. With this frequent Auto-Syncing it is often not needed that these random lists get synced (they would be different on each sync). An option to only Sync Only Every x hours/days/weeks would allow users to limit how often a random list is synced to device while still being able to perform frequent Auto-Syncs. This option would only affect random lists and not static lists (Playlists/Collections/specific selections in Collections) as re-syncing static lists won't resync files (they're already on the device). | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | The main problem would be how to track what belongs to these random lists on the device (so files not on sync list can be deleted, but files on these random lists would not be deleted). MediaMonkey already tracks what it Auto-Synced last time and can use this DB information, making sure it gets updates correctly each Auto-Sync random lists are ignored. | ||||
