Summary | 0009792: Process priority: MMA should be able to rise process priority
Description | In some cases where there is low memory on device, MMA gets sacked by System even it actually do not use that much RAM. I guess we should look on how to delay/evade FORCE STOP by some Task Managers.

Peke, can you elaborate what you mean? |

My LG Optimus L5 came with lots of Stock apps starting on boot which made 384MB RAM with <50MB free. Problem arises when Ram gets below 20 where power safe (aka Automatic task manager) kicks in and closes MMA even it is playing music. I have noted that some apps needs to be force killed to be shut down as they do not allow to be closed. They are marked in Task Manager with different colors. I wondered if it is possible to rise MMA priority so that it would not be sacked on first cleanup? |

I would expect that MMA shouldn't be terminated while it's playing. Marek, any idea? Apart from this, I don't think we can do much about it. |
|
Set to Urgent for Marek to triage. |
