That's right - these settings are configured in cooperation with MMW, i.e. a connection is needed. |
|
Please note that at the time being MMA was not even paired with MMW so there was no issue with "settings are configured in cooperation with MMW", behavior that I would expect that MMA is able to change setting offline, but not being able to sync unless "these settings are configured in cooperation with MMW" rather than forcing Wi-Fi enabled. Eg. I suspect that some users would want set Internal Storage outside root folder and or maybe have multiple folders for several users of Device (Tablets for example) that will allow them to have two separate MMA Libraries, or use MMA temporally on other set of files without compromising Device normal behavior. Also as user that behavior I would rather found as paging home which most people do not like. At least strings what I see is that Notification string needs to be changed and possibly allow user to override setting. Examples -------- User Peke: Internal /SDCard/Peke/ External /SDCard/external_sd/Peke User Kids: Internal /SDCard/Kids/ External /SDCard/external_sd/Kids |

Since MMW is really needed to perform this task, I could only imagine a change in the wording to clarify the action needed... |

This was fixed some time ago. If wi-fi connection is unavailable, the user is given the option of enabling Wi-Fi for actions for which it's required (which atm includes any sync configuration). |
