Summary | 0010033: Wifi sync: Multiple identical devices are recreated in MMW
Description | When I test a single build of MMW with MMA, numerous instances of the same device get created in MMW (e.g. I have 4 instances of 'Google Nexus 7 - Internal Storage' after testing build 1606 for 2 days). This seems to occur when syncing the same playlist repeatedly, or after re-installing a new version of the MMA software on the device.

Rusty, please attach the device profiles (exported MMDC files). The only scenario I can imagine in which this could happen is that you - uninstalled MMA - deleted the MediaMonkey folder on the device including StorageInfo.xml file (the file contains the pairing key) - installed MMA - init WiFI sync from MMA, but your device was unable to get Serial Number (this I am going to find out from the MMDC) => the dialog for creation another profile appeared? Is this the case? I cannot imagine another workflow that could cause it. And also I cannot imagine creation of new profile without a confirmation dialog, can you confirm? It would be great if you could find out some steps to reproduce and catch debug log. |
