Summary | 0010043: First-time sync initiates without first triggering configuration
Description | If the user initiates synchronization of a new device directly from MMA --> synchronization of 'nothing' occurs. i.e. sync is initiated without first forcing the user to configure a sync list. If a sync settings haven't been configured, then clicking the server should trigger the appearance of the sync config dialog, rather than initiating a sync operation.
Steps To Reproduce | 1 Run MMW 2 Run MMA for the first time 3 Click 'Sync Now' --> Select Sync Server appears with 'Media Monkey Library (machine name)' listed 4 Select the sync server -->i Sync (of nothing) initiates and completes -->ii Sync Settings for 'Nexus 7 Internal Storage' display What should happen is that at Step 4, MM should immediately display the Sync Settings for the device. OR Another possible approach would be to fix 0010035 (so which in this case would result in a Sync Status screen that would just show 'Analysing' and then a summary indicating that nothing was synced. In the summary, we could add a message that 'No tracks were synced because no tracks were selected to be auto-synced'.

Now the configuration is displayed only if sync list is empty. MMA can determine it only during sync. That's why it is displayed after empty sync. So do you mean that it should be remade to display configuration whenever sync server is changed? I.e. in options too ? That means that sync list can be unempty, because it can be configured for example by USB sync before. Is it ok? |

Seems to be fine for me. The net result will be that user will see the configuration for the first time MMA wifi sync is run, regardless whether USB sync has been ever run before - which sounds fine. |
