Summary | 0010423: Improved representation of Classical music over DLNA
Description | At 0009867, we revised the manner in which nodes are represented/sorted over DLNA. However, handling of Classical music can be improved further by giving users greater filtering granularity than is available in the MM tree i.e. more than just All, <Album> nodes (this isn't needed in MMW because the user can use the column browser to filter, but there's no such option over DLNA). More specifically, when in a <composer> node: - Some more serious users would want to then browse by conductor - Some more serious users would want to then browse by artist (which they use to indicate the performer) - Some users would want to browse by album or by track One possibility would be to show the following at the <composer> level: - All - Artists - Conductors - <Album 1> - <Album 2> - <Album 3> ... Clicking 'Artists' would then show a hierarchy identical to the 'Artists' node. Clicking 'Conductors' would show a similar hierarchy i.e. <Composer> > <Conductor> - All - <Album 1> - <Album 2> - ...
