Summary | 0010435: UPnP notifications should be suppressed until install wizard is completed
Description | If the user installs MediaMonkey on a network containing UPnP clients, then upon installation/first time run, a notification re. 'A device is attempting to access the MediaMonkey Library' appears on top of the 'Welcome to MediaMonkey' wizard. This will be confusing to some users, so it would be better to delay such notifications until the user has completed the installation wizard.

Maybe we should incorporate the "Options|Media Sharing" page into the wizard so that user can confirm that he wants to run it? And we should run the server after the Wizard is closed (unless user disable it in the Wizard). |

Seems like a good idea. How about a new entry for 'Share Media' (enabled by default) immediately following the 'Media Scanning' entry: [x] Share your library Let UPnP/DLNA clients (TVs, DVD Players, xBox, PS3, etc.) on your network access the MediaMonkey library, and let other MediaMonkey clients (MediaMonkey for Android, MediaMonkey for Windows 8/RT) sync wirelessly. You'll be prompted to grant access for each remote device that attempts to connect. |
