Summary0010535: iPod/iPhone auto-sync does not copy entire auto-sync list (regression)
Descriptionuser donflip: "Regardless of how many items are selected to keep synced in the Auto-Sync settings for my iPod, only 1 track is synced to the device. In the example logged and captured here, I set auto-sync to sync all tracks by the artist 113 (seven tracks), but only the first track is actually synced.

If I manually sync, (drag or send to) files are copied properly."

I can reproduce on my iPhone, selecting several auto-playlists which contain over 1000 tracks results in a sync that only copies 3 tracks to my iPhone in 4.1. I used the same database in MM 4.0.7 with the same sync settings, and the tracks were all copied as expected.

I cannot reproduce, but it seems that MM creates iPod paths like
H:\iPod_Control\Music\F02\.mp3
for the user (i.e. without the filename)

Stephen, could you please generate debug log.

The user's log is not much usable, there is a lot of info missing, because he started MM prior to DbgView.

Please start DbgView, start MM, perform sync, save the log

Thank you.

Hmm, I just found that with my iPod Nano 7G it is reproducable, so I don't need a log anymore.

EDIT: It was just test error, the files were actually in the iPod so therefore they have not been re-synced.

So I would need to see the debug log as requested in my last note.

Okay, the log is uploaded. I included 2 pictures, the first image shows what what selected for sync (33 tracks from 2 auto-playlists). The second image shows what was actually copied (only 2 tracks).

Note that the device was empty prior to sync so all 33 tracks should have been copied. Auto-conversion rules are enabled, so any incompatible formats should be auto-converted to mp3 files. Lastly, I can perform the exact same operation, with the same database, in MM 4.0.7, and all 33 tracks get copied to the iPhone.

Thank you, I was finally able to simulate the bug.

Fixed in build 1625.
