Summary0010745: Warn user when scanning Media Server (UPnP/DLNA)
DescriptionMany users store files on a NAS and less familiar users sometimes scan the files from the Media Server on the NAS instead of scanning files over UNC/mapped path. This causes problems as files can't be edited/moved/deleted.

A warning (that can be disabled) indicating to the user they're about to scan a Media Server with an explanation of what this means would help those users not to make this mistake.

I would rather show user warning dialog when they try to edit Metadata of Scanned MediaServer that the modifications would be only written to MMW library and not to actual files.

Either way would be helpful, but I'm suggesting at scan as users affected often have no clue of the difference or how to resolve after scanning.

Note that it isn't that uncommon that users have unintendedly scanned the Media Server instead of the File Server and then require support with failure to tag/rename/delete files. A warning on scanning (which can be disabled by user) would prevent the frustration for those users.

Possible text:
This is a read-only media server. You won't be able to edit the tags or delete any files from the device. You may want to scan the file server instead of the media server (via My Computer > Network).

That looks great.
