Summary | 0011093: Auto-playlist condition "Playlist is empty_(non_specified)_value" returns all tracks from Library
Description | I think that such auto-playlists should return empty list to be consistent with other similar conditions e.g. "Artist is empty_value".

This behaviour has always been in MediaMonkey without a negative feedback. I think that it also makes sense that if an auto-playlist hasn't specified any criteria then all tracks are shown, because there is simply no criteria for the resulted tracks. I am afraid that changing this would rather bring a negative feedback. Resolving for now... |

Sorry, reading it again you are reffering the 'Playlist is' criteria of an auto-playlist, not an empty auto-playlist. OK, this can be opened as a lower priority issue |

I think that you now understand what I want to say, but here is the screenshot just to clarify: http://img46.imageshack.us/img46/1416/7dso.png As I said, such behavior is not consistent with other conditions where you could specify Value by selecting chekboxes with some items, e.g. Artist, Album, Conductor... Just to mention why I need this. My script Inherit Child Nodes allows for some auto-playlist to contain all tracks of its child playlists. It is doing that by creating the condition "Playlist is xx, yy, zz, ..." using triggers. As you could guess, such condition is updated whenever an user adds/removes some child playlist to/from that parent auto-playlist. So, if such auto-playlist has not any child playlist its condition would be "Playlist is" without any value, which returns all tracks from the Library, instead to return none track. |
