This is most likely because of the fastscroll using SectionIndexer, i.e. the way to show the first letter while dragging the scrollbar. I currently don't see an easy way around it. |

Instead of using SectionIndexer, would it be possible to use an implementation that displayed letters of the alphabet in the right-most column (like in many dialers)? e.g.: http://images.frandroid.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/youlu-Android-Dialer-contact-595x337.jpg |
