Summary | 0011432: Nexus4 and Nexus7 profiles can be exchanged (because of same VID and PID) | ||||
Description | As clearly described here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=73835&p=376876#p376873 The user can consistently replicate specific scenario resulting in exchanging Nexus7 and Nexus4 profiles. We found that the false match is caused when pairing profiles created over USB based on Serial Number during first WiFi sync. This happens because both devices has same VID (vendor ID) and PID (product ID). NOTE: Some of early Nexus 7 and/or Nexus 4 Generic Nexus VID PID and that was the reason for duplicate detections especially if Customized ROM is used.
