At this point in time, I'd suggest linking directly to www.internet-radio.com as it's the quickest. We can modify that in the future. |
Shoutcast replaced by Internet Radio in build 1682. But IMHO whole 'Net Radio' node is quite outdated and should be hidden by default or removed/reworked entirely. |
Can you check if http://mobile.internet-radio.com/ would be better? Also It could be useful if they can supply us YP listing (XML standard listing) I also like http://www.logfm.com due the its nature of listing. |
Peke, http://mobile.internet-radio.com/ really looks much better, good catch ;-) Used in 1682. Re: http://www.logfm.com - don't like it much due to advertising and also the navigation is not much clear and in addition it opens popup flash window players. Not adding it. |

There are a couple of problems with the current mobile site: 1) there's no search function 2) only a single page of stations is listed per category! I much prefer this layout, but both of the above functions are needed. |
I like the mobile version because of its clean layout. The absence of search function 1) is a minor disadvantage IMHO againts the advantages. I don't understand 2), can you eleborate? You can scroll down all stations per category or am I missing something? |
But for now it would be better if we would use just links like http://www.mediamonkey.com/mmw/radiofeed1 and http://www.mediamonkey.com/mmw/radiofeed2 that would be auto-redirected there? This would allow us to change them anytime. |
1) it's a toss up--the current UI is very nice, but it's near impossible to browse through thousands of stations if I'm looking for 'Radio Paradise'. 2) to better explain: Rock has 2776 stations, but when you open the category, only about 20 are displayed on the page, and there's no 'next page' button. So although the current UI looks good, it has almost no stations! Your suggestion of using links to radiofeed1 / radiofeed2 makes good sense, but I would suggest that we not do that now, but rather in an incremental release. And that given both of the above problems, for now we just revert to the non-mobile version of the site i.e. www.internet-radio.com |
OK, reverted the mobile version to WWW version (http://www.internet-radio.com/) in build 1684. |
