This was intended as result of 0008770:0029456 Rusty, maybe we should re-evaluate? Maybe it would really make sense to show them on Sync-list / Shared-Content even if they are hidden in Media Tree ? i.e. we could revert 0008770 ? |

ATM, users can choose which content to have displayed globally. If we want to give users more granular control, it seems to me that the solution would be to modify the Collections/Media Tree UI to allow the user to choose which views should display the tree nodes. From my perspective, reverting 0008770 would just create different problems--the sync/share views would be filled up with irrelevant content. And I'm not sure that the ability to _independently_ control which content appears in the sync/share views, is worth the effort--have many users asked for this? |

Actually they not asked but rather reporting bug that UPnP do not list all collections and secondly some complained that for MMW they use Entire collection rather than individual collections but would rather see those collections in UPnP due the speed. It is strange that you can disable which one you see in MMW tree but not on UPnP and not be capable to do same Via verso (not showing in MMW tree but showing on UPnP) Maybe for now as that is risk free just list them as Grayed(disabled) to retain functionality until we find better control. |

I guess that the Collections config might be a bit misleading because it is labelled 'Media Tree' when in fact enabling/disabling the Collections is a Global configuration (the reason for the wording is that the config panel is used for both Collections and some other nodes). I suppose we can change the wording as follows: Collections --> Collections / Media Tree Edit Media Tree --> Choose which Collections and nodes to enable Visible --> Enabled OR we could take a hybrid approach of: a) leaving the current behavior for the Sync list b) by default, showing all collections in the 'Media Sharing' nodes, but only enabling in the default collection those nodes that are actually displayed in MMW (Ludek, can you think of how to do this?) The key thing is that we need to ensure that the default UPnP views aren't filled with garbage nodes. Aside: it would help to evaluate this if the links to the reports were included. |

Setting target to 4.1.1, changing this now in 4.1.0 RC state would probably bring more bad than good. We should collect the user feedback and decide later. |
