Summary0012273: Audiobooks and Podcasts should pause when other audio interrupts
DescriptionWhen mma is playing music, it normally reduces volume whenever other audio is transiently routed through the phone (e.g. incoming call ring, navigation directions, etc.). This is acceptable for music, but is problematic for spoken word media as it becomes impossible to understand what happened in the story/joke/news when interrupted.

What should happen is that if the content type is Audiobook or Podcast, then audio should be paused/unpaused for such interruptions.

Edit: MMA currently has a 'Suppress notification sounds' option which allows playback to continue at full volume even in the presence of notification sounds, and it might be confusing if that setting doesn't apply to the Audiobook/etc. settings. Possible means of resolving this is to make this feature more granular. e.g.

Playback during notifications
Music: [normal volume, [reduce volume], Pause]
Audiobooks: [normal volume, reduce volume, [Pause]]
Podcasts: [normal volume, reduce volume, [Pause]]
Video: [normal volume, reduce volume, [Pause]]

OR

Playback during notifications
[x] Reduce music volume
[x] Pause Audiobooks, Podcasts, Video

Why do you think that that 'Suppress notification sounds' setting doesn't apply to the Audiobook/etc. ?

I think no more options are needed.

if 'Suppress notification sounds' is enabled:
all notificastion sounds are suppressed, no volume reduce, no pause

else 'Suppress notification sounds' is disabled -> your suggested behaviour on notification sound:
Music: reduce volume
Others (Audiobooks,Podcasts, Video): Pause transiently

Fixed in build 1.2.0.581 in this way.
