Summary | 0012444: Volume leveling doesn't work over UPnP/DLNA
Description | A user asked a question re. why volume isn't leveling in MMA when playing over UPnP: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=78708 The reason is because MMA doesn't read the Replay Gain tags, and there isn't any sort of standard elements for such metadata to be shared over UPnP/DLNA so that MMA can adjust the volume. But we created our custom elements for volume leveling purposes (when WiFi syncing with MMA). So the simplest fix for now would be to serve this custom elements also in case of standard UPnP/DLNA browsing (not only when WiFi syncing). Or serve them only when the client is MMA.

I added our custom element also for UPnP/DLNA browsing in build 4.1.6.1626 Assigned to Marek to verify whether something needs to be changed on MMA side. |

This is not working for me with 1726/363. Tested with 2 different devices; - when the test playlist was played over UPnP, volume levels did not adjust at all whether volume leveling was enabled or not. - when the same test playlist was synced and played locally, volume levels were adjusted as expected. Do I need to do something to trigger MMA to read this newly shared information? |
