Summary | 0012483: MM doesn't play the original samplerate on some soundcards (WASAPI)
Description | Per report in http://forum.mediamonkey.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=78143&p=398930 and an additional e-mail discussion with a user, it was found, that some soundcards don't correctly report all the supported formats they can play (e.g. only 96kHz is reported, while it supports also 44hHz, etc.).

I resolved the issue by adding a new item to the format selection dropdown in our WASAPI plug-in. The item title is 'Original track format' and when selected, MM doesn't query the soundcard for supported modes - it simply tries to play track in its original format. In case of failure, it goes the standard route and tries to find a supported format. |
|
We decided to change the title to 'Format:' 'Same as source' for MM4.x (in order to not need a new translation) and 'Use format of original track' for MM5. |

Fixed both in MM4 and MM5. |
