Yes, it's correct behavior, because Playback Notification should be visible after playback. When user change to "Always", we can show Playback Notification immediately, but is this really what user want? |
Yes, User wants to show notification always in order to get easy access to MMA when using it in car. |

Tapping on STOP in notification Player still removes Notification even always is shown. I find that as expected but if ALWAYS is selected when MMA gets back into Focus it should show Notification icon again? |
I think that notification should appear due to playback only. So until user doesn't start playback, no notification should appear. |
I tested this today again and it looks like service gets Notification back after some time. Only possible issue is that pressing STOP should or should not remove notifications if set to Always. Maybe adding swipe left to close, like other apps that support swipe in notification? Rusty, can you triage? |
Swipe to close is fairly common, so I guess that this could be a good way of: - allowing the 'always' setting to make the notification _always_ appear (as long as MMA is running) - giving the user a means of exiting the app I suppose that if we implement this, we should probably also have an 'Exit' command in the app. Peke, before we go ahead with this, can you clarify why this is needed? i.e. in all of my testing, whenever a bluetooth connection is formed, using the bluetooth controller causes MediaMonkey to initiate playback as required. What is the usecase that you're attempting to satisfy? |

One of the major reasons for setting Always is yo have quick access to MMA commands and UI if needed. I usually use it when switching from to GPS navigation while phone is in Car dock, where I pause MMA while in Navigation and want to have it always accessible if needed as I like to access MMA on from when Navigation is not active where I can see info about playing track. |
