Summary | 0013036: Crash related to sync with old version of MMW
Description | As suggested by Marek, MMA should warn the user if crashes are going to occur due to synchronization with an outdated version of MMW. Possible message: "Warning: Please update to the current version of MediaMonkey for Windows to avoid synchronization problems!" p.s. will this work for both Wi-Fi sync and USB sync? i.e. does USB sync already save the version number used to make the sync so that this can be detected by MMA?

It was already implemented for Wifi sync. It has different minimum build and wifi sync cannot be done till MMW is not updated. So I have added similar notification to USB sync. USB sync is not terminated and notification is shown. We recently added sharing of sync settings during USB sync, so yes, MMA knows the MMW version. Fixed in build 530 |

I just tested Wi-fi sync (MMA 530 vs MMW 4.1.8) and MMA didn't generate any message about the fact that the version of MMW wasn't up-to-date. If I understood your comments correctly, shouldn't it have given a warning? |

I am sorry for missunderstanding. There are different min builds for syncs: Wifi sync: 4.1.0.1692 Usb sync: 4.1.10.1778 |
