Summary0014418: On Some devices System dialog grant access do not see SDCard
DescriptionSome users were reporting no sync access to SDcard and that they could not grant MMA SDCard Access.

We were never been able to replicate the problem in order to fix it.

On one device while I was demonstrating MMA I was able to observe the problem and was being able to replicate LOG ID AM2HEJL9J1.

All goes well after MMA install and Grant wizard shows, so when MMA opens system dialog show no storages, when taping on "..." it only lists "Nedavno" (Recent) and list "Nema Stavki" (Empty List). Back return me to MMA Grant Wizard.

Martin found that "It's weird because MMA detects sd-card, but system dialog to grant access looks like sd-card was unmounted."

 What device / OS version was this happening on? I have a huawei Y6 running Android 5.x and don't observe the problem.

On that particular device, the folder chooser has a 'Settings' option. In the Settings options, is a toggle to 'Display advanced devices'. If that is enabled, then the SD card is displayed as a selectable location.

Assuming the problem is that users aren't clear on this for Huawei devices, maybe we should add a help button to the prior screen that would link to a KB article that explains the process in greater depth.

 I do not have Settings option on that device screenshot attached (huawei Y5),

I'm also attaching another fullscreen screenshot where settings are clearly missing.

I wonder if MMA can open folder chooser on SDCard/Storages immediately instead of "Documents" as seen in new screenshot?

 Peke, can you clarify what specific device/android version this occurs on (there are multiple versions of the Y5 I, II, and III, and if this is an earlier version I expect that it's an issue that was resolved in later releases).

Edit: It's a Y560-L01 (2015 snapdragon 210) running Android 5.1.1

Re-assigning to Marek for ideas re. how to deal with this...if it's even possible.
