Summary | 0014494: Quick-filter problems
Description | E.g. in Artists view type few letters and filter out artists. Now click one of the artists to open its view and then click Back: 1. Artists are still filtered (sounds good to me), but navbar doesn't show the filtered text anymore (actually this seems to be random, sometimes it does). 2. Esc doesn't cancel the filter, the grid still shows artists filtered. 3. When the same steps are done in Albums view - after Back the albums are _unfiltered_. For consistency, they'd probably better be filtered.

Few more: 4. Quick-filter a tab, switch to another tab and back => content isn't filtered. I suppose that persistence would be expected in such a case? 5. A similar use-case to 4.: Switching skins also cancels quick-filter. I understand that persistence here would also involve MM5 restart, in which case the filter is probably better canceled? Not sure here, can be deferred, unless you have other thoughts. 6. Sometimes during testing 4&5 it happens that filtering stops working altogether. E.g. switch to another tab and back, filter is canceled, start typing letters in order to start filtering -> navbar looks like the quick-filter is activated, but the tracklist isn't filtered at all. This is somewhat random, sometimes it works well, sometimes not. |
