Summary | 0014811: Deleting the last track in a directory should also delete remnants
Description | e.g. delete 100's of tracks using Files to edit > duplicate titles --> Directories and artwork files with no tracks are left behind! If a track is being deleted by MM, and it is the last track in the directory, MM should delete the artwork files along with the empty directory. I'm pretty sure that this was already working in MM4.

Ludek, please have a look whether this was properly ported from MM4. |

Rusty, this has never worked in MM4. Checking the MM4 code (and testing) the folders are emptied only during auto-organize when '[x] Delete emptied folders' is checked. But just deletion of tracks from track-listing does not empty the folders. Should this be implemented as a new MM5 feature? |

Ahh... I didn't realize that. I think it would make sense to use similar logic as Auto-organize any time a user deletes all remaining tracks in a directory (and the only remaining files are artwork related as with MM4 auto-organize). The only difference perhaps should be that in this case MM would prompt the user: "The files have been deleted. The following remnants remain [ ] Directory x: x, y, z. [ ] Directory y: x,y,z [ ] Directory z: x,y,z Delete remants?" |
