I cannot replicate the issue, but analyzing the log and screenshot I see that: The file 'Under the Flyover1' is in library under the path C:\Users\Mark O'Brien\Music\Lib\Paul Higgins\Paul Higgins's Album\000 Under the Flyover1.m4a and is on the sync-list, therefore it wasn't deleted. Path on the device is F:\Music\Paul Higgins\Paul Higgins's Album\000 Under the Flyover1.m4a Also later in the log I see the folder C:\Users\Mark O'Brien\Music\MP3s various\Mark O'Brien\ being scanned into library, it looks like the folder might be monitored by the user? i.e. if you go to Add/Rescan > Monitored folders... isn't the folder there? Or was it scanned manually? Note that there are two others versions of the track "Under The Flyover" in the library and on the device: C:\Users\Mark O'Brien\Music\Lib\Mark O'Brien\Extras\025 Under The Flyover.mp3 (F:\Music\Mark O'Brien\Extras\025 Under The Flyover.mp3) C:\Users\Mark O'Brien\Music\Lib\Mark O'Brien\Singular\044 Under The Flyover v02.mp3 (F:\Music\Mark O'Brien\Singular\044 Under The Flyover v02.mp3) |

I finally had another session with user and I recorded 3 part video file where i also created debug log along third part of video (starting from 07:26) where it can be clearly seen that MMW do not delete any MediaFiles even it clearly detects that Device Music contain 4 files less than MMW library. |

In the log I see that the files are still in the user library under these paths: C:\Users\Mark O'Brien\Music\Lib\ABBA\Gold\014 Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man Af.m4a C:\Users\Mark O'Brien\Music\Lib\ABBA\Gold\010 S.O.S..m4a C:\Users\Mark O'Brien\Music\Lib\ABBA\Gold\017 The Name Of The Game.m4a so they either failed to delete from library, or most probably were re-added by file monitor. Actually the tracks are seen within the 'Entire Library' node at 7:44 of the video! Look at the tracklist to see the ABBA tracks that you previously deleted at 5:38 were re-added. Please ensure that user has disabled file monitor, most probably file monitor re-added the tracks? As for showing that on the device is 5197 tracks while there is 5192 in the library. This can happen when one library track is copied to more locations on the device, i.e. in case of using <Playlist> and <AutoNumber> masks. |

Based on code revision I have been finally found a steps to replicate this long standing issue. Steps to repro: 1. Clean MMW install 2. Scan several MP3 files into library 3. Insert any MSC Device 4. Sync several MP3 files into the device 5. Enable Delete all other media files + Confirm deletion 6. Delete Few MP3 tracks from MMW library only 7. Go to device profile > Options > Auto-conversion and change supported format to "WMA", click [Apply] 7. SYNC again => Files deleted on MMW are not deleted from device (no delete prompt) The step 7 is the key factor to replicate the issue. => Fixed in 4.1.24.1822 and merged to 5.0.0.2131 The workaround for the user Mark O'Brien is to enable M4A as supported format. EDIT: Another way to replicate was to import user's MMDC file (where only M3U was listed as supported format) |
