Summary | 0015153: Manual update check fails if done subsequent to a previous update check
Description | In build 4.1.21: 1) click Help > Check for updates --> Update notification dialog appears 2) click Help > Check for updates again --> Update notification dialog doesn't appear again MM4 has logic to prevent the update notifications from being performed too often. Could it be that this logic is being applied even when the user manually initiates an update check? Note: this may apply to MM5 as well, and we may just want to fix it for MM5.

Test note: this also includes a fix to incorrect update notifications in some cases: If there's an update for the current build number (i.e. w.x.y.z to w.x.y.z+a which occurs whenever a beta build is released), then the update notification for 'from w.x.y-1' should be presented, but instead MM presents a notification for 'from w.x.?? (I'm not sure which update message it actually chooses, but it's not the correct one). |
