| Description | There are some issues with 'Settings Profile' 1) It is unclear which settings is the profile settings. It stores device/storage settings (supported formats / auto-conversions / artwork format etc.), but it does not include "user library settings" of library and its content (e.g. which collections to sync and config related to scanning / downloading to the library) While it makes sense to not share "user library settings" there, we should clarify this. i.e. to clarify that this settings are for the [Options] page only (as used to be in MM4) i.e. the explanatory text on the Settings profile page should be enhanced. 2) [Reset settings] button sometimes clears also the defaults for particular cloud service. e.g. Google Play Music has the default format MP3, this is cleared after using reset settings. | ||||

1) How about: Profiles for various devices and storage locations can be imported via the MediaMonkey addons database: Tooltip: Device profiles contain default settings that allow a device or storage location to sync correctly. They don't include user-settings such as which content will sync. aside: Device Profiles have not ended up being used very much--probably because it's a manual process that's somewhat complicated. Ideally the process of loading a profile would be automated. |

Fixed in 2135 Note that default profiles are automated for most of the well known devices and storages. The ability to import/export the settings just allows users to customize the default profiles further. |
