Summary0015363: Deleting the Date field changes the value of the Year field to -1
DescriptionIf the user deletes the value stored to the Date field in the track browser, then the Year field changes to '-1'.

Maybe I don't see what you are calling "track browser" , but I am not facing the issue, deleting (by F2 edit) in Date column clears also Year column:

I wonder why we added 'Year' column to MM5 at all? It seems a duplicate of 'Date' column and yes, it uses same field in the database with value -1 for undefined year/date.
In MM4 we have only the 'Date' column, so it would make sense to remove the duplicate Year column too?

Year column in fact displays Year part of the Date field. So yes, they cannot have different value, e.g. one -1 and the second 2001.

Filtering by year using column browser fixed in build 2152.
