Summary | 0015652: Ability to eject USB attached devices
Description | In the migration from MM4-->MM5, it looks like users have lost the ability to eject USB-attached devices. This functionality should be present: - during sync operations (in order to cleanly terminate the operation) - when a device is connected and no operations are ongoing and the machine is configured for Performance (rather than reliability of usb-attached devices) Possible placement: - Right-click on the device / context menu on the devices view - On the device > device name > Summary screen (e.g. overflow menu at the top OR Eject button at the top)

Verified 2176 MTP Devices are Ejected also I'll open a specific case in new bug where USB Drives contain two partitions as they are detected like Card Readers |
|
Tested 2178 and there are a couple of issues: 1) The "safely remove device' icon should be the standard eject icon (usually a line with an triangle above it). See: https://emojipedia.org/eject-symbol/ 2) There exists both a 'Remove' command and a 'Safely remove device' command. If a device is plugged in, the 'Remove' command shouldn't display. 3) Shouldn't the remove command be 'Delete' _in the context of devices_ ? |
