Summary | 0015897: Sync: Deletion status is vague / inaccurate
Description | Delete Tracks from Devices & Services > Google Drive > All tracks OR initiate a sync that deletes tracks from a device/service --> (1) Status indicator shows 'Removing old content'. It should indicate 'Deleting x/y files' since some deletion operations can take a long time. --> (2) After the deletion operation completes, the status bar (e.g. at Devices & Services > Google Drive > All tracks) doesn't update. e.g. it'll indicate the same number of tracks that existed prior to the delete operation.

Fixed in 2195. Test note: The "Deleting 1/54 (track title)" progress was added for services like Google Drive, OneDrive, DropBox (where we don't perform batch deleting currently). For the batch deletion (like 'Google Play Music', iPod sync) there is just "Deleting X files" --- as we don't have a feedback to know which file is being deleted in GPM when we initiated request for batch deletion. |
|
Verified 2195 Delete progress shows correctly for Services that do not support batch delete (tested on up to 10 files in batch) "Deleting X files" shows correctly for iPod Touch 4G and GPM (tested on up to 10 files in batch) |
