| Description | At an earlier point of Auto-tag development, we'd removed suggestions for the Album Artist field since: a) MM currently doesn't maintain a list of Album Artists associated with all possible albums b) Change the Album Artist has no effect on other fields However, recently I've come to understand that users would expect MM to display existing metadata in some cases. e.g in the cases described in 0015342: - If the suggested Album Artist is 'Unknown Artist' or some other non-sensical value, then the user would prefer an existing value - When the original Album Artist (in English) is preferred to a recommended value that's in a foreign language (e.g. in Hebrew) I would therefore suggest that the user be able to not just edit the Album Artist field, but to also choose either: - the original value of the field (if it exists and is different than the recommendation) - the ArtistName chosen by the user (if it exists and is different than the recommendation) | ||||
