Summary | 0015952: Backspace in Search Bar starts navigation when Search is empty
Description | When removing a string from the Search Bar with Backspace the Backspace becomes navigational once the Search Bar is emptied. I'd expect it to stop instead. As long as Search Bar text box has focus it should not be a navigational key.

I cannot replicate, are you sure that you tested the recent build? 'Backspace' shouldn't cancel the search bar (#12521 - item 14d) 'Esc' key cancels the search despite the focused control (#13612 - item 2a) EDIT: Testing further and you probably tested contextual search (typing in a view) ?? Yes, for the contextual search it is expected to close the search bar, because user can type something by accident and backspace should cancel it. Also there is no downside as typing something again brings the search bar again. But in case of global search (Ctrl+F) the search bar isn't closed (according to #12521 - item 14d ) So resolving as "no change required" |

Test note: Another possibility is that this is another manifestation (some variant of) 0015959. |

I'm unable to replicate this issue in build 2200. Leaving it as 'fixed' for LL to verify. |
