Summary0015966: Auto-tag: Poor recommendations are sometimes made (even when high confidence levels are required)
DescriptionOriginally reported as item 1 at 0015942. There are a couple of related issues, both related to track 3) (....Hadvarim.mp3) provided at that bug.
Metadata for that track is:
Title: Miteva Hadvarim, Album: Ishay Ribo
Auto-tag options are set to: 'Replace existing information if confidence > 100%

1) MediaMonkey recommends Title:Track03 instead of the original entry. Does that recommendation really have a 100% confidence rating?!

Also, can you confirm that the confidence setting applies only to Auto-tag (and not to backup metadata lookups--my understanding is that backup metadata lookups never replace existing metadata) ?

2) As discused, it probably never makes sense (i.e. even if there's no conflict) for Auto-tag to recommend:
Title= Trackxx, trackxxx, TRACKx, etc..., Unknown, "", " "
Artist, Album, Album Artist, Lyrics, Genre: Unknown, unknown, UNKNOWN, "", " ", etc...
TagsNo tags attached.

1) Can you confirm whether confidence rankings are being used? How are they calculated?

2) Verified in 2201.

re 1) in case fingerprinting IS used, then rankings are applied as described in https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=14224#c48762

re. 1) OK thanks. The current Options don't reflect that, but the the revised Options config at #14571 does.
