We need to persist Playlist editor windows, since currently they disappear e.g. after a skin change. |
And, since related, adding here an idea to modify context menu for playlist items in the tree to Edit New plst New Auto-plst --- …all other commands... In order have the most useful commands at top and separated from playback commands. |
Reminder sent to: rusty Rusty, could you please comment on this idea? |
It seems reasonable to move 'Edit' up for playlists, but it's not useful atm because: a) the command is only useful for static playlists (we should probably eliminate it for auto-playlists) b) right-clicking on a playlist node opens the Playlist (bug 0015664), so right-clicking Edit for a static playlist would open both the Playlist and the Playlist editor! So I agree with this in principal, but it'll cause more harm than benefit until 0015664 is fixed. btw, in general we may want to eliminate some more node-level contextual commands, but that's a separate issue. |

a) I don't understand why 'Edit' is not useful for auto-playlists ? b) 0015664 is a minor issue (and only with Media Tree), but in Playlists [List] you can right-click individual playlists > Edit to show them more (one next to the other): see: https://www.dropbox.com/s/m0rdh6xl32ejxdi/screenshot%202020-04-25%2013.34.56.png?dl=0 Then you can D&D tracks between those playlists (as on the screenshot). I think that this was the main point of this issue (as requested by a user and Jiri) |
a) You're right. I was thinking in reference to the Playlist edit panels (i.e. that a panel shouldn't open for editing an auto-playlist). b) OK. So so lets go ahead with it. |

Looks good. Closing. |
