The reason for these effects was that very rarely artwork has enough resolution to be shown full-screen without nasty artifacts. That said, might be useful for users with good enough artwork. Michal, please add the new option when you have time. |

Reopen for small tweak. If possible on lower res Images like <1000x1000 use less zoom effect than on higher res images or use % of screen size to better fit eg. use fill/stretch to browser window space (by either fit to W/H while keeping AR and then use scroll. It will improve look on lower res images and there will be no change on higher res images. |
|
It is not zoom, it by design method of displaying image in the background (it automatically stretches it to fill whole background, so it does not have some empty spaces), it would look strange to display it only in some part of the background and the rest leave empty. If someone has low res images, he/she simply should not use this kind of background image. |

You are right when using tracks that have larger AA image (Bon Jovi track have 1418x1418 where Laura have 300x300) difference is seen. Maybe just add 5% blur to lower quality images. As seen on video it is enough to make it much better. |
|
Tagging this as resolved since the original issue was about allowing original artwork to display and that's been implemented. I'll open a new bug for Peke's suggestion, though I think that it's rather arbitrary to define at what point blurring should be implemented. e.g. if the user has a small screen then burring may not be warranted at < 300x300, but on a large screen, it might improve the image's appearance. |
