| Description | Using 'Manage Views' to configure the active view is unnecessarily difficult for the user because: a) it requires that the user know the name of the currently active view, which they must then select and double-click. b) the view initially highlighted in the dialog doesn't display the 'Edit' button so it's not obvious how to proceed (the user has to switch between views in the Manage Views dialog for the icon to refresh). A fix would be that if the user is in View X, and clicks Manage Views, then View X should be highlighted (rather than the first view in the list), and the Edit Icon should immediately display. | ||||

Tested 2248. Issue a) is working correctly, but issue b) isn't--the icon still doesn't initially display. |

I retested in 2249 and was able to trigger the bug once (in Music > Albums > List (by album) ), but I can't figure out how to replicate it. Closing for now and will re-open if this recurs. |

a) the icon really doesn't appear fairly often. I can't figure out the exact situation that triggers it, but it's readily replicable by going through the following steps: 1 Switch nodes (e.g. between Music all tracks/artists/albums) 2 Manage views --> at some point, the bug will occur 3 Make a view change, click OK 4 Go back to Step 1 For example: https://www.screencast.com/t/zNnMLVpM1gzX (debug log attached) |

I can replicate this just by opening and closing the "Manage Views" dialog several times. Mostly at least 3x, but somtimes 5x open/close is needed to the bug to appear. Assigned to me to look into it (as I can replicate). Workaround is to use scrollbar (when appears) or resize the Manage Views dialog => then the icon immediatelly appears. |
