Summary | 0016760: CTRL-A selection has no effect for certain views
Description | If the user switches to a view containing a mix of folders and tracks and uses CTRL-A, nothing happens in many cases. e.g. 1 Navigate to Music > Location > Path containing only tracks and no folders [List: List(Folders); Status Bar] 2 CTRL-A --> tracks aren't selected! I think that the issue might be occurring because MM is trying to select folders (even though they don't exist) A similar issue occurs with playlists: 1 Navigate to Playlists > PlaylistContainer containing multiple playlists and no tracks [Browser: InfoPanel; Grid (Playlists)] 2 CTRL-A --> Playlists aren't selected! In this case, the issue is that MM is attempting to select non-existant tracks! In summary there are two issues: 1) In mixed views, MM sometimes preferentially selects tracks and sometimes preferentially selects containers (note: in other parts of MM--e.g. in Artist [Browser], CTRL-A selects whatever is at the top of the view so that the selection is visible). 2) In mixed views, when the preferential selection is absent (e.g. there are no tracks or no playlists), MM should select the non-preferred items NOTE: can be pushed to 5.0.1 if non-trivial.
