Summary | 0016994: Devices and Services: Mass device management
Description | There should be a way to mass management of devices. In other words it would be nice to be able to Mass remove, edit devices properties in case we make ability to selecte multiple devices at once. Benefits: - Easier copy of settings to newly detected devices (exactly like in Track properties) - Mass selection/deletion of on used/owned/temporary detected devices (Each of us own at least several devices that were connected once/twice and never intended to be synced and those can pile overtime)

I think that users usually don't sync many devices, so mass editing of devices is not a needed feature IMO.. |

I do not think this should be closed. It is very very easy to create number of unknown Device profiles. Any New HDD, USB Stick, Virtual Drive, WEBdav, Phones just connected to charge, Mapped Drive letters, ... In some cases (Apple devices sometimes) when OS is updated new ID is created and along with it also new profile with same name, Same goes for Factory reset of devices and MMA complete uninstall (I have seen those but only few times in past). I commonly see this with users that fail to sync or can't find correct device and it is very time consuming to delete them also to prevent deleting wrong profile all devices taht oser uses must be connected due the fact that only connected devices can't be deleted. |
