Summary | 0017134: Remove obsolete checkboxes from options
Description | While trying to replicate issue mentioned here: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=97646 I found that '[x] Show tooltips for context help' does not work : https://www.dropbox.com/s/qp0nzrtzrgpbvyn/Screenshot%202020-11-26%2018.39.35.png?dl=0 It always shows the tooltips for me despite the option. I would suggest to remove the option altogether from MM5. The same goes for '[x] Enable smooth scrolling' and '[x] Enable mouse gestures'

Verified 2276 they are removed. |

The removal of the smooth scrolling option causes smooth scrolling to be removed entirely in 2277. If the goal is to de-clutter the General Options panel (which I agree with), it could be put into the Performance panel. I noticed that CPU usage with smooth scrolling off is cut in half (up to 17% instead of up to 32%); which may be helpful for users who want MM5 to be more battery-efficient. |

Good catch Jordan! ;-) I haven't realized that this option is actually used, and good idea to move it rather from General to Performance panel. Fixed in 2278 |

Verified 2281 '[x] Enable smooth scrolling' moved to performance and rests are removed. |
