Summary | 0017229: MediaMonkey doesn't prompt to close MediaMonkey on install
Description | During install MediaMonkey silently closes open MediaMonkey. This is done prior to selecting install location, so it happens even if your installing MediaMonkey in a different location. It was suggested that import requires this (otherwise DB problems occur), but even when no import is suggested this occurs. 1) MediaMonkey should wait to close until install location is set as same as running 2) If different location, MediaMonkey should wait to close until import is suggested 3) MediaMonkey should prompt the user

If MM is in the background process that takes a long time to exit, the prompt repeats over and over. Is this expected? I think that if there is MM in the background after the user clicks OK, considering that they *think* MM is already closed, it would then be acceptable to force-quit running instances of MM5. |
On 2288 -2291 the warning is shown, but MediaMonkey is closed automatically at the same time. |
If MediaMonkey 4 is running, MM5 installer just shuts it down! |
MM 5 currently messages that: "Setup has detected that MediaMonkey 5 is currently running. Please close all instances of it now, then click OK to continue, or Cancel to exit." So it seems that this is no longer an issue. |
